چکیده
Understanding the out-of-plane behavior of unreinforced masonry walls is crucial in seismic assessment existing buildings. Here, dynamic response a vertical spanning strip wall, connected to flexible diaphragm at top, investigated. Despite simplicity model, two rocking rigid bodies elastically restrained highly nonlinear. This due different phenomena: when motion system may assume configurations, with transition between them either impacts or crack opening caused by ground acceleration. An analytical model capable capture complex implemented. The equations are first derived, using variational methods, then events that can undergo during studied. Finally, order show potential some numerical exemplifications presented applying an earthquake record and sine pulse system.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
the role of application of dynamic assessment approach in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels
the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...
The Kinesin Walk: A Dynamic Model with Elastically Coupled Heads
Recently individual two-headed kinesin molecules have been studied in in vitro motility assays revealing a number of their peculiar transport properties. In this paper we propose a simple and robust model for the kinesin stepping process with elastically coupled Brownian heads that show all of these properties. The analytic and numerical treatment of our model results in a very good fit to the ...

the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.
Nonlinear modeling of the infill wall based on the brittle cracking model
Abstract: This paper introduces a new numerical method for the analysis of infilled steel frames with hollow clay blocks. This approach is based on the brittle cracking model of ABAQUS. The results of the in-plane calibration analyses obtained with four experimental tests are presented and discussed. The first test was a bare steel frame used as a control specimen. The second was similar to ...
